ArcGIS9 and Trimble GPS Training Class: The class integrated GPS (~2 days) and GIS training (~3 days). Participants learned about collecting GPS data with Trimble based GPS receivers. Trimble's Pathfinder Office Software was used to post process the GPS data and export it to a GIS format. ArcGIS 9 was utilized for editing, integrating, geoprocessing, managing, map making, and documenting all GPS collected data. The GPS related training materials came from a variety of sources. The GIS materials are modified versions of the modules from the ArcGIS 9 for Land Managers Course currently posted on the NPS GIS training page.
