Data Management in an integral component of any GIS Program. It may include standardization of attribute, file and directory names for GIS Layers. Additional components of data management include standardization of GIS files formats, metadata documentation, data dictionary use with new data collection, etc. Listed on this web page are tools that we use to ensure Data Management processes are implemented in the GIS Programs across the NPS Intermountain Region.
